I'm writing this on my new Macbook Pro! I bought a customized one with a larger hard drive that can write things to disk faster. It's so shiny! And through my university I was able to download the entire Adobe Master Collection with a a two-year license for under five dollars. I've been using CS6 for a long time at work, and now I'll finally have it on my own computer. The data transfer from my old laptop to my new one didn't work - it quit about four hours in - so I'll probably be transferring stuff over piecemeal. For now, that's fine. Well folks, looks like I made it through the semester. Somehow. I got prescribed some ADHD medication literally two days after my last final. It was too late to help with my overdue essays, but it did help me finish some paintings that I framed and gave to my parents for Christmas! Now that the semester is over, I can finally get a little room to breathe.
